Guided by your organizational objectives, students will work in small groups as researchers, consultants and business strategists to provide you with a professional strategic plan that lays the groundwork for future short and long-term achievable growth.
Learners
The final deliverable for this project will include:
- Overview of your organization, a recap of research findings, development of Mission, Vision, Values, and environmental analysis (including SWOT analysis).
- Goals & Action Plan - Written in SMART format
- A suggested new event or programming to assist with organizational growth. Suggestions will be based on student research findings and will include financing considerations and the economic impact of the event/programming.
- Presentation and explanation of the plan including AV components, colour visuals, takeaway items, and other presentation materials.

Project examples
In teams of 4-5, students will work with your organization prepare a strategic plan (researching, analyzing, and providing actionable goals and recommendations for achievement) that can set the future direction of your organization. The opportunity can be utilized for enterprise strategy or can be tailored to meet the need of a specific business unit or challenge within your organization.
Deliverables include but are not limited to:
- Research current trends and competition in the marketplace.
- Increasing revenue or market share for an existing product/service.
- Promoting a new product/service launch.
- Increasing brand awareness
- Improving customer acquisition/retention.
- Identifying new market segments and opportunities.
