Details

I'm seeking one (or more) student(s) interested in media relations, communication, or public relationships to help Writing Short is Hard to share our work and perspective in the media.

After obtaining a good understanding of our products, services, and expertise, your primarily responsibility will be to regularly monitor the regular updates from Help a Reporter Out (HARO), an online service for journalists to obtain feedback. When relevant asks from reporters are posted, you'll refer those asks to your supervisor, with recommendations for how we could respond to the reporter.

This work comes with options to learn more about writing for publication and content marketing.

Deliverables

After familiarizing yourself with WSIH services, products, and expertise, you will regularly--either daily or weekly--monitor HARO for relevant requests for information.

Mentorship

Students will meet regularly with our founder, Letitia Henville, via Zoom.
