researchI am looking for one student to prepare and execute an exhaustive search strategy for a research project. The deliverables will be a list of keywords, databases to search, and inclusion/exclusion criteria, as well as a list of resources in Zotero.
The researcher will draft an exhaustive search strategy (keywords, databases, inclusion/exclusion criteria) for the team to review. Once these items are approved, the researcher will execute the search. If the search yields too many irrelevant results, the researcher will need to refine the keywords and inclusion/exclusion criteria. If the search still yields too many irrelevant results, then the researcher will need to pivot to a representative search strategy. This strategy would focus on locating the most-cited and most recent works from the top publications in the field, and would use the following approach:
1. Citation tracking—that is, finding a relevant article, and seeing what other articles have cited it.
2. Citation chaining—that is, finding a relevant article, and seeing what articles it cites.
3. Representative sampling—that is, searching within the top journal in the field
The final deliverable at the end of this project is a list in Zotero of relevant resources.
Students will meet regularly with our founder, Letitia Henville, via Zoom
