We are seeking enthusiastic students to support our digital marketing efforts for our fall programs.
Main Goal: The primary objective of this project is to document and promote the activities of our fall all-girls coding programs, which include both online classes and in-person sessions in Calgary. Through engaging digital content, we aim to increase visibility, inspire participation, and support future outreach and recruitment.
Project Scope and Expectations: During this project, students will:
- Collaborate virtually with the lead coordinator to implement a content-driven digital marketing plan.
- Use provided photos, videos, and updates from instructors and on-site staff to create timely, engaging content.
- Develop social media posts, including reels, carousels, posters, and short videos highlighting program activities.
- Maintain a content calendar with scheduled posts throughout the fall session.
- Design templates for spotlights, stories, and recap features.
- Contribute to email newsletters and wrap-up reports for families, funders, and partners.
- Support promotions for upcoming classes, workshops, and future program recruitment.
Project Details:
- Design and schedule content using tools like Canva, Meta Business Suite, and Google Workspace.
- Organize a digital media library from shared program footage and photos (Google Drive).
- Post consistently across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
- Develop a visual storytelling strategy to showcase the student journey and program highlights.
- Create promotional materials for upcoming fall classes, workshops, and future programs.
- Coordinate remotely with the WST team to ensure branding consistency and timely execution.
Final Deliverables:
- A comprehensive social media content calendar (SeptemberโDecember).
- A digital content library (photos, graphics, captions, short-form videos).
- A set of highlight reels and story templates for social sharing.
- An outreach and engagement report (metrics, reach, impact).
- Templates for newsletters, announcements, and future promotions.

About the company
While She is True (WST) is a non-profit that is dedicated to educating, empowering and encouraging young girls to explore and pursue technology. We achieve this goal using a threefold approach, the first being computer science education. The second involves mentoring from women in the technology field. Lastly, we provide technological resources such as laptops and other tech hardware to break any barriers that prevent girls from having the right technology to use and grow in the computer science space.
