Research on the nonprofit sector in Ontario, including reporting on the number of nonprofit organizations in Ontario, size by annual operating budget, types of segments within the sector, number of members that organizations are serving, and analysis on banking services offered by other financial institutions. 

Analysis and research to include the nonprofit, charitable, co-operative, and affordable housing sectors.

Project activities including:

• Understanding of key stakeholders in the nonprofit sector
• Reading and analyzing nonprofits financial statements to identify gaps and opportunities
• Researching and identifying the sub-segments within the nonprofit sector
• Researching banking packages offered to nonprofits across financial sectors
• Researching and analyzing funding sources for nonprofits organizations
• Research the demographics severed by nonprofits
• Research and Breakdown by region of nonprofit annual operating budget
• Identify patterns in financial and banking behavior for nonprofits
• Identify economic exceptions in funding and banking for nonprofits organizations
• Research on nonprofits language and terminology
• Create research reports

Supports for students will include: staff time, weekly check-ins with student, opportunity to present research findings to the team, knowledge of the nonprofit sector, knowledge of cooperative banking.
