The successful candidate is responsible for the consideration of the M&E (routine data) activities from the OGOW programs and its partners.
The position also provides virtual field support in all monitoring and evaluation activities, including development of M&E data collection tools, data analysis, synthesis of data from varied sources, support in preparation of project/program monthly/quarterly datasets, and training of all relevant OGOW and its partners.
They should be detail-oriented with experience setting up and managing M&E programs. They should be tech-savvy, a strong communicator, a problem solver, and driven to innovate new solutions on the go.
Activities
Regular Monitoring:
- Monitor program progress by comparing actual activities with the work plan.
- Evaluate progress toward program objectives and impact.
Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Support:
- Support the development and implementation of M&E processes and systems.
- Assist the Chief Program Officer in following the Annual M&E Plan.
Data Quality Assurance:
- Ensure data quality from collectors and implementing partners.
- Review data at regular intervals (bi-weekly/monthly/quarterly).
Reporting and Documentation:
- Generate timely M&E reports.
- Coordinate mid-term reviews and document innovative practices.
Data Utilization:
- Promote data-driven decision-making and program improvement.
- Encourage program teams to use data effectively.
Knowledge Sharing:
- Share assessment findings and lessons learned with external stakeholders.
- Represent OGOW's impact in professional conferences and networks.
Learning outcomes for you include
- Experience working with a national, non-governmental, not-for-profit association
- Experience in implementing partnership, collaboration and advocacy strategies
- Experience working on public health issues/initiatives with a variety of stakeholders; including Federal and Regional bodies and the United Nations
- Experience in the preparation of briefings/reports in support of policy development and advocacy; and Knowledge of public health issues, social determinants of health and health promotion approaches.
