Details

The project aims to empower Okwera Academy and its community by identifying and organizing grants and funding opportunities that support capacity-building and business initiatives. Students will conduct thorough research to discover relevant grants, focusing on those that align with the Academy's objectives, and those that can be passed off to our extended community. The goal is to categorize these grants based on their applicability and compile necessary application materials. This project will enable Okwera Academy to scale its operations effectively and share valuable resources with its ecosystem. By doing so, students will help community members access tools needed to grow their businesses and careers, applying their research and operations knowledge from the knowledge in a real-world context.

Deliverables

1: Grant Research: Students will identify grants and funding opportunities relevant to Okwera Academy and its four ecosystem/community partners. They will explore opportunities across community-building, technology, education, and entrepreneurship.

2: Organize and Categorize Grants: Create an organized database or digital repository categorizing the grants by eligibility, funding amount, deadlines, and other key criteria, making it easy for Okwera Academy and partners to access.

3: Prepare Application Templates: Develop standardized templates for project descriptions, budgets, impact assessments, and other required documents to streamline the application process for Okwera Academy and its partners.

4: Compile Key Documents: Gather and organize all necessary documentation for grant applications, such as financial statements, letters of support, and summaries of past successful projects, ensuring these materials are easily accessible for future grant submissions.

5: Share Resources with Ecosystem Members: Develop a strategy for sharing the researched grants and resources with four key community members, ensuring they have the necessary tools to access funding opportunities and grow their initiatives.
