Participating in this capstone project was a valuable experience. It provided hands-on exposure to designing a medical monitoring device from concept through to prototype. I contributed to multiple iterations of the hardware design, discussed various user-centered features, and wrote the Instructions for Use (IFU) to meet usability and safety standards. It strengthened my understanding of medical device development cycles, regulatory considerations, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

I had a great experience working with Oxilight Inc. in Canada during my capstone project. The team was welcoming, professional, and always ready to support and guide me. This opportunity helped me apply my knowledge in a real-world setting, improve my skills, and learn from experienced professionals.
