Our organization can offer a virtual opportunity for students or teams. The primary focus for the student(s) will be: to execute during the placement, as exemplified below. Where applicable, we will work with the students to select the tools/platforms they will be using to complete their work. Create a dashboard type platform where users can network, create connections and create business opportunities. You will work to finalize Front end and Back end of the beta iOS and Android app. We hope to be in a stage where our Startups and Community users can use it to the potential to gain benefits to better manage their non-profit work. The beta app is expected to have the following functions. Application Website Development - We are seeking to build and launch a new innovative product to represent a clean and intuitive website. We are open to suggestions and ultimately a stack of choice by development team. Our goal at the end of this experience is: Application Development to: 1. Log-in: Secure platform, validate User ID/email 2. Verification: Password – note, I do not want to save nor manage user password – we will need to determine levels of compliance 3. Multiple user types with different needs – we can have levels of users 4. Communication on the platform among users via direct correspondence(private) or group chat opportunities similar to “slack/trello” without crowding their inbox. 5. Ability to share content with other platform members. 6. Using calendar-related features – set up meetings 7. Lead/Owner Manager Platform Dashboard – rights management to other users Other duties the student may complete could include : Software vendor research and evaluation Provide or work with us to complete a design proposal including mock-ups, . Build a fully-functioning website using HTML, Java and React, etc. Assisting with other process improvement projects Unit and integration testing Build Platform (Front & Back End) We will plan to communicate with our virtual intern using these communication tools: Riipen messaging, zoom, email, Teams Student's primary contact : Melloney Campbell, Startup Peel Community Leader

Podcast Production

Since podcasts are becoming an increasingly popular content medium, our company hopes to capitalize on this by creating our own. In this project, students will collaborate with us to take advantage of trending media and create a season of our own podcast. We would like students to deliver a 5-episode podcast series based on our company’s nice to resonate with our target audience. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Collaborating with the project manager to form a name and a theme for the podcast, and a topic for each episode. Script various components of each podcast episode such as the introduction, welcome, call to action, and outro. Create cover art for the podcast. Research and plan what will be discussed on an episode-by-episode basis. Record and edit each episode. Facilitating special guest appearances in one or more episodes.

Tenure Backend Development

The main goal of this project is to build the backend for Tenure, a savings and rewards fintech startup, using Node Js / Typescript. This will involve integrating the backend with the web react front end and the mobile react native apps.
