I had the pleasure of working with Laiba Ali (on a team with Roshni Sen) within Advance Ontario, on a project where their task was to lay down the foundation for two important AI-powered features into our exam prep platform, Test Run. Their focus was on leveraging API integrations with AI models like ChatGPT to enhance our platform's functionality. Both Laiba and Roshni approached their work with dedication, curiosity, and problem-solving skills. They quickly adapted to working with AI technology and API integrations, demonstrating a strong ability to research, implement, and refine solutions. Their contributions have provided a clear path towards implementing two key platform features: AI-generated practice items and AI-driven essay & short-answer grading. Laiba and Roshni worked independently and collaboratively, showing initiative and a great willingness to learn. They effectively integrated AI-driven features into our system while handling challenges thoughtfully and professionally. Their work has left a solid foundation for further development, and their efforts have been greatly appreciated. I highly recommend Laiba for future opportunities in AI development or software engineering. Her enthusiasm, leadership, adaptability, and work ethic will make her a valuable assets wherever she goes.
