Bio

👋 Hello! I'm Yuna, an Interaction Design student at Emily Carr University of Art & Design. My journey in the creative world began with over 10 years in art school, where I developed a deep passion for drawing and visual storytelling. Originally, I applied to ECU to major in 2D animation, but I found my true calling in Interaction Design.

🎨 While my drawing skills shine through in my wireframes and concept sketches, I’m excited to showcase more of my artistic talent in my final designs. My goal is to blend my creative background with UX principles to craft user experiences that are both functional and visually captivating. I’m committed to making designs that not only meet user needs but also bring a unique and enjoyable aesthetic to their interactions.

💡 My studies have not only refined my design skills but also sparked a passion for data visualization, especially in relation to social issues. This interest has enhanced my abilities in user research, data analysis, and visual storytelling.

☕ Outside of school, I work part-time at local cafés, where I apply my design expertise to create event murals, menu designs, branding, logo design, café signs, and food/drink art. I love working in cafés because of my passion for coffee, interacting with new people, and enjoying the vibrant café atmosphere. This role allows me to integrate my creative skills into practical solutions while making people’s café experiences a little more enjoyable.

🚀 As I continue to develop my portfolio, my goal is to prominently feature my illustration skills in my final designs. I’m focused on earning new certifications, improving my portfolio, and expanding my professional network to support my long-term aspiration of making a positive impact through thoughtful UX design. Through Riipen's Level UP program, I hope to gain hands-on experience working on real-world projects.

🌟 Excited to collaborate and create impactful digital experiences!
