Our team is looking for software developers to be part of the exciting project we’re working on at The Teacher App. Create back-end and front-end coding to build our Web App. Work with the team as a whole to deliver technical goals. Work closely with our designer and CEO to meet expectations and execute the vision. Working with tools and programs such as Notion, Discord, and other technical/development tools. We’re excited to work with students who can help us not only create this new and exciting product, but also take part in a movement bigger than ourselves to reach: A healthier Canada by supporting and sustaining teachers and students and their mental health. This is a great project for students to practice their development expertise, as the impact of their work on this project can be easily measured and communicated.

The Project Using React Native + JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS, you will be developing an application based on high quality wireframes that can send/receive/store data from an external device over bluetooth. The Milestones The application resembles the provided wireframes. The application can connect to the external device over bluetooth. The application can send and receive data from the external device. The application can store data received from the external device. Your Responsibilities Client-Side Development: Develop new features and user interfaces from detailed wireframe models that run on both Android and IOS devices. Server-Side Development: Build and manage a database solution to store user and device data. Develop administration tools that allow the display and manipulation of data. Hardware Connectivity: Ensure Android and IOS apps communicate effectively with hardware devices through bluetooth. Clean, Readable, and Documented Code: Ensure our software is following best practices when it comes to coding, version control, and documentation. Qualifications Strong experience with React Native + JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS Strong experience deploying applications to both Apple and Android devices. Experience connecting mobile applications to external devices through Bluetooth. Experience building databases. Experience with system architecture is a strong advantage. Students have two options: 1. Build on the work completed by Humber College students on the KnowQuest.net React-based webapp to complete the project. KnowQuest is the world's first Academic Feedback platform, and one of the most advanced feedback platforms in general. KnowQuest combines Credibility of users with Anonymity of ratings and Security (no personal information collected or sold) and Homogeneity (ratings are layered, not just 5 stars - thus, they are highly informative, powerful, and easily comparable). 2. MyPanion.com - Ethical Home Healthcare startup. MyPanion is bringing dignity and respect back to the home healthcare industry. By charging the customer a little less, and paying care workers much more, we ensure higher quality, better value, and better matches. Your job will be to create the MyPanion App. The App is a glorified scheduler with a GPS function built it. More details about the functionality of both options are available.

To establish an inclusive and accessible online presence for our AI Accessibility Startup through the development of a cutting-edge business website landing page. The primary objective is to showcase our expertise in WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) testing and remediation, ensuring a seamless and barrier-free experience for users of all abilities. The website will not only serve as a digital storefront but also as a testament to our commitment to advancing universal accessibility standards in the digital landscape. By the project's completion, our landing page should effectively communicate our services, foster trust, and empower businesses to prioritize and enhance their website accessibility in accordance with the highest standards.
