Quote Control Ltd - Cyber Security Project

The main goal of this project is to develop and implement a robust cybersecurity framework for a Tech Start Up that will provide a trusted environment for future clients of our products. Quote Control Ltd. works with small to medium sized enterprise Shippers and Freight Forwarders to reduce errors and streamline communications up front, enabling them to execute the first time. Our Vision: Is to enable small to medium logistics operators to compete on a global scale by giving them access to technology typically only available to large multinationals. Our Mission: We are fostering the evolution of logistics with innovative technologies that enhance efficiency, optimize performance, and maximize yield. We are very early and working on our MVP. We have alot of ideas and want to be able to offer products people can trust with their most confidential information. Right now, we are an open book. Start right, Stay right is the motto of the day for Cyber Security as it is moving and evolving faster than we can keep up to it. We need a Framework to manage, monitor and upgrade security measures for the protection of Quote Control Ltd.'s data, systems and networks as we evolve them.

Analyzing Industry Competitor Data

Our startup company is creating opportunities for small enterprises in our industry to level up through team efficiency and elimination of quote errors. We believe we know a lot about our consumers and target consumer base, but we need to look beyond the buyer and examine our industry. We would like to collaborate with students to complete a detailed competitor analysis and help us position ourselves in the market. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Familiarizing themselves with our products, target market, and industry. Identifying competitors, analyzing their product offerings, pricing strategies, distribution channels, marketing tactics, and customer engagement approaches. Bonus steps in the process would also include: Recommending strategies to best position our company.

Analyzing Industry Supply Chain Services

Our start up company is creating opportunities to make the international shipping process faster and easier. We believe we know a lot about our consumers and target consumer base, but we need to dig deeper and understand the day to day operational needs of the people on the ground, how our product can help them and how competitive we are in the global shipping industry. We would like to collaborate with students to build a detailed set of analytics and to assist in our planning processes. Current State Analysis Elicitation of requirements through such techniques as benchmarking and market analysis, document analysis, interviews, and surveys. Requirements documents through such techniques as text, mockups, and process diagrams. Risk Log Bonus steps in the process would also include: Recommending strategies to market our product. Recommending strategies to best position our company.

Market Analysis for Enhanced Logistics Communication

The global logistics industry is plagued by inefficiencies in communication between shippers and freight forwarders, creating opportunities for improvement. Quote Control (QC) aims to capitalize on these opportunities by conducting a data-driven market analysis. The goal is to validate assumptions, size the market, and identify potential stakeholders, thereby positioning QC for success in this competitive space. The project focuses on identifying industry verticals in Ontario and British Columbia with high volumes of international trade. It involves quantifying Total Addressable Market (TAM), Serviceable Available Market (SAM), and Serviceable Obtainable Market (SOM) using a $50/month subscription model, targeting a 1% penetration of SAM for SOM. Additionally, the project will analyze market trends, evaluate QC's positioning, and develop a targeted prospect list using NAICS codes.
