Film Development Research
Who We Are One of Canada's leading documentary film and television companies. Our Current Challenge Finding research and story support for the development of an upcoming feature documentary film that will explore environmental subject matter. The support would involve open-source story and location research, creative writing, and conducting background pre-interviews with subject experts and possible participants. Our Desired Outcome A comprehensive research package that can support producers in identifying potential storylines and participants for the film. Student Day-to-Day Tasks Could Include: Scouring existing media coverage, books, and scientific literature to identify interesting stories and concepts Creating in-depth research documents on subjects relevant to the film Creating participant casting sheets Researching and compiling potential locations for filming

Digital Content about Small Towns of Canada 1000towns.ca
Number of individual students required: 15 students, any Province or Territory, Canada 1000 Towns of Canada 1000towns.ca is a digital platform connecting small town communities and travellers. We launched about 200 unique pages of Top Places to Visit in the Town. We would like students to participate in creating content about small Canadian towns that are aligned with our vision, mission, and sector. You can check existing pages on 1000towns.ca/explorer to clarify the format. We will ensure the student has a clear understanding of what these elements are for our organization. To accomplish this, we expect the student(s) will: Choose 10 small towns in any province/territory Write a short description of each attraction 'Communicate with local communities for feedback After approval of the 1000 Towns of Canada team, the final content will be published as unique town pages on 1000towns.ca. Podcast Project Assistant
Weβre looking for a student to help us record, edit, and post more podcast episodes. The goal of our podcast is to grow the OneTeamMVMT community by hosting meaningful and engaging conversations with experts and thought-leaders in areas that will interest our listeners. We want to put out content that not only entertains, but educates our audience on topics such as: body positivity, racial and gender inclusivity, cultural appreciation vs appropriation, and other training and sport tips.
