Competitive and Market Analysis - Avo Initiative Ltd (Avocado Seed Tea)
Itβs important for us to have a better understanding of how our target audience perceives our brand and competitors. We want to develop clarity on our competitive advantages and optimize our marketing strategy. As a novel product with little to no history of commercial use, we would like an overview of our competition. Avo is running a dried loose leaf product line and a cold brew line that it is aiming to mass produce. We would like to understand our competitive advantage to optimize our market strategy. We hope to gain a comprehensive understanding of the competitors in our space and how we can differentiate ourselves through our product/service offering, and our messaging. During the internship, students will assist the sales and marketing team and provide support throughout various stages of gathering intelligence, target market analysis, marketing strategies, and promotional activities. We can suggest names of competitors to research. Internal company resources will be provided.

Product Marketing
Our company advertises thousands of products online. We would like to revamp our marketing as we have recently developed a new product. Together with our marketing team, we would like students to design new promotional material for this new product. Based on our insights and additional research, students will develop promotional marketing materials for our existing media and make recommendations on alternative media to consider. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Familiarizing themselves with our target market, products and services. Assessing our existing marketing strategy and efforts. Recommending marketing tactics to promote our new product such as exclusive previews and introductory offers. Designing promotional material for various media. Making multiple versions of marketing materials and testing them for comparison. Deliverables By the end of the project, students should demonstrate: Familiarity with our target market, products and services Assessment of our marketing strategy Recommendation of marketing tactics Design of promotional material Bonus steps would include: Creating and testing marketing materials Final deliverables should include A final report. A 10-minute presentation. Mentorship Students will connect directly with us for mentorship throughout the project. As a Marketing & Communications Intern at MCAP, I managed 10 Google Business Profiles for the company and its subsidiaries, responding to over 500 reviews to address customer needs and foster trust, ultimately enhancing customer satisfaction and retention. I led a monthly Google review outreach campaign targeting broker partners, which successfully improved the companyβs Google star rating from 3.6 to 4.3, strengthening its online reputation. Additionally, I conducted five Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) surveys using Alchemer, analyzing feedback to identify areas for improvement and provide actionable insights for better service delivery. Beyond digital reputation management, I collaborated on pre- and post-event marketing initiatives by developing creative content and email communications, effectively driving attendance and engagement among broker partners, clients, and executive staff.
