Students in this course learn the concepts behind hazards and their control, safety laws and regulations, as well as safety analyses, planning, and safety and risk management. A key learning outcome for this course is to develop a safety plan.

Requirements

Students in groups of 3 will work with your company to identify your needs and provide actionable recommendations, based on their in-depth research and analysis.

Project activities might include but are not limited to:

  • Developing either a safety plan (for a specific project) or;
  • Developing a safety program (a company-wide set of rules and guidelines governing safety), or a component of one of these.
