Mock Interviewing and Job Search Strategies
Positions available: One team of four students This team will work together to create the following reports and conduct valuable interview preparation to TRU Students. The project may include, but is not limited to: Development of a Mock Interview Tool for a variety of industry specific interviews (HR, Marketing, Supply Chain, International Business, Accounting, Finance, plus IT, Engineering, Sciences, Arts and Tourism) and will include a job description, Interview questions and feedback tool. Once the Mock Interview Tool is created this team will aim to conduct 150 - 200 Mock Interviews on campus for TRU students, each Mock Interview session will be 1 hour in length and will include 30 minutes for documentation and feedback. Development of a Job Search Strategies Took kit for TRU Co-op Students that outlines specific action plans for success that students can follow The final project deliverable is two reports and completion of 150-200 Mock Interviews on campus. These reports will provide valuable documentation for Co-op Coordinators but also valuable feedback and training for TRU Students.

Career Education Teaching Assistant
Positions available: 2 TRU Career and Experiential Learning teaches Co-op 1000 on a regular basis. The Career Education Teaching Assistant position will support Co-op 1000 instructors with marking of resumes and cover letters but also conducting mock interviews with new Co-op 1000 students. This position will be ideal for a student who is interested in teaching and/or career education. This project will begin September 30, 2021

Human Resources Generalist (Phase 1)
Number of Students Required: 1 Monte Creek Winery is looking for an HR student who wants to gain experience in Training and Development, Recruitment and General HR Skills. This project is an opportunity to support employer recruitment needs, employer policies and procedures, and overseeing grant/funding submission, confirmations and file management. This position will be virtual. This project will focus on: - Developing policies and procedures. - Strategic HR planning. - Special projects around funding support, health and safety. Phase 1: Policies and Procedures Review the current documents and recommend and assist in the creation of new best practices for policies and procedure documents for Monte Creek Winery. Employee user manuals analyzed and updated. Develop, implement, and evaluate employee orientation, training, and development programs.
